Practical Information for patients
CardioClinic Cologne is a 24/7 service. We are there when you need us.
In an elective admission, please contact the help desk in the entrance hall of the EVKK for registration. Following that, please check-in with us on the 2nd floor. Your ward will be on the same floor called ward “2A”.
In urgent cases or emergencies, a partner hospital will transfer you to us. In this case, we admit you straight to the ward or our intensive care unit.
Once with us, we prepare you for surgery. This will include a discussion of your treatment options with the medical and nursing teams. After surgery, we will care for you on our intensive care unit for a day or two before transferring you to the step-down ward. Modern telemetric heart monitoring supports us in keeping you safe on the ward.
Medical and nursing staff are more than happy to support you with your recovery and are there to answer all your questions.

We understand the importance of having family and friends around to support your recovery. Visitors are a very welcome from the day after your surgery. Visiting hours are from 14:30 – 20:00 on the ward 2A and from 16:00 – 20:00 on the intensive care unit. You are welcome to agree other times with the nursing staff if required.
